Support the DeKalb History Center Archives
Although this year has flown by, it has been a great one for the DeKalb History Center. We have had so many guests take advantage of our learning opportunities through programs, exhibits, and events here at DeKalb History Center. Plus, it has been a record breaking year for research requests. To date, 350 researchers have used our Archives. And in 2025 alone, we have added 65 new collections to our Archives.
More than ever, people are turning to us as a resource to uncover family stories, learn about their home, or reveal untold histories. To keep up with this demand, we must expand our storage, cataloging system, and supplies. Our goal of $15,000 will go toward the mission of collecting, preserving, and sharing DeKalb County history for generations.
This year, we are focusing on the essential building blocks that outfit our Archives. This humdrum equipment makes all the difference behind the scenes. We cannot properly carry out our mission without these items.
